LOTTO Ekstraklasa Round 29: Goal Roller coaster Without a Conclusion in Szczecin

SZCZECIN, Poland. April 8 (PSN) – Neither Pogon or Arka were satisfied with Sunday’s result in the twenty-ninth round of the 2018/2019 LOTTO Ekstraklasa season.

Arka Gdynia had a difficult task to accomplish in Szczecin. Grzegorz Wett’s team had not won from their past 12 league games, in addition they have never brought home three points from Szczecin yet. Unsurprisingly, the hosts had the better start, scoring first with a goal by Michal Zyro. But Arka didn’t choose to sit back and instead pushed forward to find gaps in Pogon’s defense. This paid off, as Marko Vejinovic equalized for the Gdynia outfit just before the break. In the second half, the visitors pushed again on the counter, which saw Maciej Jankowski score from 16th meters out and take the deserved lead. Moments later, Radoslaw Majewski tied things up to make it 2:2, while Adam Deja afterwards put Arka in the lead once more with a header goal. When it seemed that Arka would pull off the unexpected and claim the win, Soufian Benyamina in the late minutes of the game managed to crush the visitors spirits and evened out the score.
