GLIWICE, Poland. October 5 (PSN) – Lech Poznan have continued their impressive European form in the sixth matchweek of the 2020/2021 PKO Ekstraklasa season.
On Friday Piast Gliwice lost 1:4 at home against Lech in a match that very few could had anticipated the scoreline for. Piast were one of the top teams last season, but struggled to balance domestic league play and Europe this season. However, after getting knocked out by FC Copenhagen, many believed Piast would resume to being a force to be reckoned with again in the Ekstraklasa. Unfortunately for them, they had to face the already in form Lech, who had just came off from beating the best club in Belgium. Goals for the Kolejorz were scored by Jakub Moder, Dani Ramirez, Filip Marchwinski and Nika Kaczarawa. Michal Zyro would score the lone goal for the hosts at the end, but Lech were ultimately untouchable on Friday night. Piast now continue to remain last place in the table, while Lech have moved up to sixth in the league standings.
