WARSAW, Poland. September 1 (PSN) – Legia Warsaw have been active in the summer transfer window, especially now after qualifying to the UEFA Champions League.

The capital club in the last few days has made several last-minute moves that are expected to greatly strengthen the roster going into European competition this fall.

First and foremost, Miroslav Radovic has returned to Warsaw. The prolific Serbian-born midfielder played for Legia from 2006 to 2015. He left on a sour note to play for Hebei China Fortune but has now been brought back to power Legia’s offense going into the UEFA Champions League.

The second major last-minute signing is Vako Qazaishvili. The Georgian attacking midfielder has been loaned for one year with an option of a permanent transfer from Dutch side SBV Vitesse.

Last season in the Eredivisie the 23-year-old played in 33 league games and scored 10 goals.

Finally, Legia completed their small spending spree with a signing from Pogon Szczecin to bring in Jakub Czerwinski. The no-nonsense defender last season played 40 games and scored found the back of the net once.

Legia will play in this season’s edition of the UEFA Champions League. The Polish side will play in Group F which features Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon.
